STARIMPORT ESTIMATING IMPORT TOOL

QUICK ENTRY

When selecting Quick Entry from the Starlmport for StarBuiIder main screen, the Bid/Proposal General Information (Quick Entry) screen will display. The Quick Entry application within Starlmport prompts to enter data to set up the basic information for the estimate. On this screen the user will assign the Bid Name and Numbers and Job Name and Numbers, Customer contact data, and internal contacts as they are related to the project such as Superintendent, Project li/Izanager, Technical Representative, and Sales Representative.

IMPORTING ESTIMATES

Starlmport allows the import of estimate data that already has been created in other applications. Import Specifncatrons allow users to import estimates that can be read and presented in a meaningful format by Starlmport.

INTERFACE WITH STARBUILDER

In order for Starlmport to interface with StarBuilder, StarBuilder security must include a link to Slarlmport. This link is created through an activation diskette for SQL. The first interface with Star-Builder is automatic when Starlmport accesses the Star-Builder data, Once estimates have been entered in Starlmport, the second interface with Star-Builder occurs when you update the Star-Builder application with estimate information from Starlmport.
